The garment slides on easily, the top of it stays put, and the legs are a soft lace that is stretchy. It is ideal under a knee length skirt or dress.Pretty darn cute! Love all the seams that contour around the bum and thighs. There are soft boning stints at the upper sides and a silicone strip at the top that helps to prevent rolling.I chose the size Large in the lace leg version because I wasn't looking for too much compression, just a layer to wear under high waist skirts & maxi dresses to prevent thighs from touching. Slid right on without too much pulling and feels fitted, not too tight or too loose.(5'6" 140lbs size L lace-leg)Super easy to put on and incredibly comfortable. I ordered a 3x and I'm at a 26/28 size, but it fit! ? It smoothed things out, but it didn't suck things in. Thats my only complaint about itThis product is more of a "shaper" than a "slimmer". This was worn under a dress for a wedding. It was very comfortable, cool and didn't make me itchy. It also saved my thighs from chaffing. My only complaint was it kept wanting to fall down in the back. I don't have any knowledge about shapers, but it was what I expected for the price I paid.
